Designed and made in Spain
The bacterial filtration efficiency of our 5-layer Type IIR disposable surgical mask is 98.93% (superior to 95% required for Type I and Type II surgical masks and superior to 98% required for Type IIR surgical masks). Regarding breathability, the result is 32.6 Pa / cm, better than the requirement for surgical masks. The splash resistance pressure in the test carried out by Aitex is 0 failures of 32 attempts (maximum possible score).
The European standard EN 14683 classifies surgical masks into 3 types: Type I, Type II, and Type IIR, according to their bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE):
- Type I: BFE (%) ≥ 95
- Type II: BFE (%) ≥ 98
- Type IIR: BFE (%) ≥ 98 + Splash resistance
The AEMPS (Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products) must approve the mask made by any manufacture and their company so that they could produce Surgical Masks.
The test carried out by Aitex (number 2020 TM 1303) has been done according to EN14683 standard. The result of this test confirms that the mask we manufacture in our company Texcon y Calidad fullfills the requiments to be a Type IIR Surgical Mask.
Bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) : 98.93%. Superior to 95% required for Type I and Type II surgical masks. Superior to the 98% required for Type IIR surgical masks.
Breathability: Differential pressure 32.6 Pa/cm. Differential pressure for surgical mask should be below 60.
Splash resistance pressure (at 127mg of Hg): 0 failures of 32 masks. This information is not required for Type I and Type II surgical masks as there could be failures. Type IIR Surgical mask must obtain a result of maximum 3 failed samples.
Made in Talavera de la Reina – Toledo/Spain.
